As many of you know, Sara’s parents have left the hustle and bustle of city life behind and have purchased a cottage property not far from the town of Campbellford, ON. If you click here, and have Google Earth installed, you’ll see exactly where it is (maybe one day, it will be at a higher resolution). The property used to be a resort destination called “The Cedars”. There were cabins that could be rented and a boathouse upon which we’ve been told that dances used to be held. The Cedars reached it’s peak popularity between the 1920s and 1940s, but when Robin and Jim purchased it, all of the cabins had fallen into disrepair. And so, an adventure to tear down, repair, restore and rebuild has begun. While we were home this summer, Sara took some photos of some of the more interesting sites.
